How to help

Lone Oak Rescue relies on volunteers and donations from individuals like yourself. Even the smallest of donations make a difference in our ability to help the horses. We welcome any and all contributions. If its a few dollars or items the rescue needs we are grateful. Your donations are tax deductible.
If you are able to lend a hand caring for the horses or helping with the ongoing expansion of our facilities, every hand makes a difference.

Volunteer
We are in the process of expanding the rescue and we welcome all. From construction to cleaning corrals and tack there is a job for everyone. Of course there is always needs with the horses too, from grooming to exercising. We are always in need and appreciative of your time.

Donate
We are looking for donations of tack or any horse related items for our second annual tack swap and sale. Get an early start on that spring cleaning of your tack room. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations upon request. Please include an itemized list for larger donations.

Artists
We are looking for a donation of unique horse art or items to feature in our upcoming silent auctions. Please consider a donation of your creations to help us in our rescue efforts.

Foster a horse
We are looking for individuals that are able to provide foster homes for some of our rescues. The needs vary from pasture rest to daily handling. Please contact us if you can provide care and personal attention to a horse in need.

Training/Evaluating
We are looking for trainers to donate their time and skills to a horse in need. Any time available be it a few hours or a few weeks, we appreciate your time and expertise. Our needs range from baseline evaluations, to basic training and problem solving. We need educated hands to help either on or off site. If you can lend us your skills please contact us. We will credit yourself and your associated facility with any training received.
