Adopting a Rescue Horse
Lone Oak Rescue is limited by the number of horses we can care
for at any one time. However, as we place horses we have rescued to their
forever home, we replace them by rescuing others. For this reason we ask
you to consider adopting a horse from Lone Oak. Not only are you likely
to obtain a beautiful animal, but you will also enable us to save more
horses.

What is the Adoption Fee?
Our adoption fees currently range from $300 - $750 which help partially reimburse the expenses in running the rescue and caring for the horses. This care includes feed, farrier, veterinary care, time, etc. needed to bring these horses back to heath. Lone Oak Rescue makes no profit from these fees.

Ongoing monthly sponsorships enable us to continue doing what we do, help horses! Please consider a $175 monthly tax deductible contribution.

Hay 2x per day= $100/mo
Daily pellets/supplements = $30/MO
Farrier care = $17.50/MO
Worming bi-monthly = $3.25/MO
Shots (fall and spring) = $4.25/MO
Annual teeth float & Misc. = $20/MO
Total: $175/month per horse
Foster a Horse
We are looking for individuals that are able to provide foster homes for some of our rescues. The needs vary from pasture rest to daily handling. Please contact us if you can provide care and personal attention to a horse in need.
